2. Description of Services

SDV Music provides live music for wedding ceremonies, receptions, dinners, and parties. The duration and exact details of the performance will be agreed upon in a written contract between the musician and the client. Additional services, such as special song requests or sound equipment setup, can be provided at an extra charge.

3. Pricing and Payment Terms

  • The agreed price will be confirmed in writing before finalizing the booking.

  • A deposit of 25% of the total amount is required to confirm the booking.

  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the performance.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation by the client:

    • Up to 90 days before the performance: 10% of the total price will be charged.

    • Within 90 days before the performance: 40% of the total price will be charged.

  • Cancellation by the musician:

    • In case of force majeure (such as illness or an emergency), SDV Music will make every effort to find a suitable replacement. If no replacement is found, the full amount will be refunded to the client.

5. Client Responsibilities and Venue Requirements

  • The client must ensure a suitable performance space, including a dry and safe environment for outdoor performances.

  • The musician requires access to a reliable power supply and sufficient space for setting up equipment.

  • The client is responsible for ensuring that the venue allows live music and complies with any noise restrictions or permit requirements.

6. Force Majeure – Unforeseen Circumstances

If a performance cannot proceed due to force majeure (such as extreme weather, natural disasters, pandemics, or government measures), both parties will attempt to reschedule the performance. If rescheduling is not possible, the cancellation terms stated in Section 4 will apply.

7. Copyright and Use of Recordings

  • The musician may use footage from the performance for promotional purposes, such as social media, website content, or marketing materials, unless the client explicitly objects in writing before the performance.

8. Confidentiality and Data Protection

  • The client's personal data will only be used for the execution of the agreement and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent.

  • SDV Music complies with applicable data protection laws regarding the handling and storage of personal information.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • This agreement is governed by Belgian law.

  • In case of a dispute, both parties will first attempt to resolve it through mutual consultation or mediation. If no resolution is reached, the matter will be submitted to the competent Belgian court.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, the client acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted the provisions stated herein.
